The vacuum hose doesn't recieve enough petrol to remain running, appling suction to the vacuum and puting back on to the manafold lets a little petrol through and it will stay on for a short while.
Whats wrong?

Is fuel getting into the bore? i.e is your plug getting wet?
applying suction to the vacuum pipe allows fuel to flow into the carb Via the other, thicker pipe, it doesnt come down the one you suck on.
Suck on the pipe, and whilst sucking, clamp the house, or bend it, this will keep the fuel flow constant, then try cranking the motor.

Drain your carb, see if there is shit in there, make sure fuels getting onto your plug, if it isnt, and your taps working okay, you have a bunged up, or badly set up carb.

if its only trickling out of the tap, make sure theres no splits in either of the lines, if there isnt, replace tap.

theres a few more roads to go down after this, let us know how you get on.

Is fuel suppose to enter the bore from the vacuum hose and carb because the vacuum hose is connected to the manfold.

If fuel is coming out of the Vacume hose, your tap is goosed it should NOT come out of there, OR go into the manifold.

vacume line (smaller of the two) to the manifold
Fuel line (larger one) to the Carb.

sucking on the pipe for 4 seconds is enough to fill the floatbowl, and if all is okay it should run.

A new fuel pump might solve it. Just ordered an aftermarket one, should be better than the original.
