gas gas 250 v 300

[all sorts]

Im thinking of trying out a 2 stroke.
(have a wr450 at the moment)
Have about 1500 quid to spend so the gas gas range look to be good value say next to the simaler KTM,s

so dose anyone have one and what is 250 like next to the 300?

As 'our boundy' has eloquently put it in the past - gassers are built out of a parts bin ...

Don't expect quality, but expect a bike that rides well and due to having parts nicked of other bikes (like the Kawasaki KX IIRC) getting parts from/for other bikes means spares aren't a problem as long as you know what is from which parts bin!!

boundy had a Gaser 300, I have a KTM250, I haven't ridden a 300 in earnest, but extrapolating from my 250, I'd say the 300 was the way forward!!

Most enduro bikes are like that - (on the KTM, the bars, suspension, brakes etc are all common to quite a lot of bikes).

The 300s are basically a 300 with a bit more low down/midrange grunt. 250 is probably a little easier to thrash, take it a bit easier on the 300.
