Cheers

also any tips on best tinted visor "stick ons" that have the option to remove in the dark?

Ive heard of demon being a tinting sheet but also comes off with ease for 6quid at night

First of tinted visor 'stick ons' sound like a massivly shit idea.

Just buy a proper tinted visor probably about £30

https://www.racevisors.co.uk/ are pretty good.

As for running in, maybe use half revs as maximum for about 500miles.

4 stroke is massivly different to 2 stroke, 2 strokes usually make more power.

Essentially 2 stroke fire twice as often as four strokes.

I could make a more detailled explanation but can't be bothered to type it out, google it.

thanks for the explaination on 2 and 4 stroke engines. But this information is not new to me. I just wondered if its any different in the cold and running in from new. Not how many sparks per revolution the engine has compared to one another.

Also a removable stick on is good. As it can be removed at night. Surley this makes sense and is not a shit idea at all?.

stick on...remove, but will it stick back on/loses its stick over time.
Thats what hes getting at, why not have 2 helmets or even just 2 visors.
Have one with clear, one with tint.

OR

get a caberg with the clear visor and tinted internal visor Smile

As Chris mentioned, grab a tinted visor from racevisors.co.uk and just chop and change. My HJC lid pops off the visor in 2 seconds so it's easy to swtich. I bought mine from there and it's pretty good. Going to have to order another one now as my mum decided to polish the living room whilst the lid was on the table and the polish settled onto the visor and ruined it.

I think the demon tint has tabs that stick to the visor inside and the tint slips into the tabs without adhesive. The pack includes 2x tabs. Guess ill make a phone call to ask. Really appreciate the comments tho all. Let me find out if you know anything about these tabs. Thanks

I use choke to start from cold most times unless it is a hot day or the bike was running recently and I don't like to rev my NSR until the temp needle starts to move. I keep it under 5,000rpms till there is heat in the coolant.

NSR is a two stroke Honda. A little less power that a RS125 or similar but much longer engine life or so I'm told...

For warming up my bike I tend to go with the minimum choke needed so it will just run. Then keeping the revs as low as possible I fiddle the choke until it is hot enough to idle without choke. It then gets a minute or two of idle before I ride it off.

Note that this is the ideal startup, ie I'm not in a rush or anything, if I'm in a hurry I will just get it running for 30 secs or so then ride of slowly....
