Vapor Digital speedo - Anyone used one?

Hi All

I want to fit a new speedo/dash to my pit and have found "Trail tech's" Vapor speedo....

Just wondering if anyone has used/has one and what it is like buildwise and functionality.

Have fitted one to a mates hornet.

Works well, apart from the tach which just fluctuates wildly

Temp sensor fits straight in place of the standard honda sensor

what colour is the backlight?

tacho fluctuations may be caused by the way it is connected to your HT leads... manual explains.....

Got one on my XJ600, works as advertised, setting it up and getting the addon with the indi lights wired up was also easy as pie.

Edit: backlight is blue, and i just connected the tach leads up to the tach leads on the old gauge set which had an electronic tach.

I have one that I'm in the process of fitting to my DT, no comments on how it works as my bike doesnt have a wiring loom yet but the kit is good quality and I have the extra idiot light kit as well which I think is must have on a road bike.

Trailtech customer service on the other hand......

could I get a pic of the back of your idiot lights?

from what I can tell the additional light surround bit is just a piece of plastic and no way of managing the wires on the back

Fitted one of these to a Firestorm recently.

Works very well. It's a bit tricky getting the tacho to read properly. Wrapping it around a coil wire was a waste of time. I eventually sorted that by connecting the signal cable directly into one of the coil signal connectors.

Other than that, it's very flexible, clear and nice to use.

I'll get a picture tomorrow, the surround just clips on and the wires are cable tied together.

I stuck one on my saracen, had it there a few weeks now,
very simple to wire in & set up, the back light is white on mine

as stated the tacho is a bit erratic but usable none the less

got mine off ebay
