Petition to use funds from the NHS budget to undergo trials for Low Dose Naltroxene (LDN).
https://petitions.number10.gov.uk/LowDNaltrexone/
If anyone could spare two minutes to sign a petition that is actually useful and realistic, I would be grateful.

My girlfriend was diagnosed with MS in May and has been taking the drug LDN for nearly 6 weeks.

She has had dramatic improvements in her day-to-day abilities since using it, the only side effects are 'bad dreams' Laughing

It is cheap, ubiquitous (has helped with HIV/AIDS, Crohns Disease, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Diabetes, Parkinsons disease and some cancers as well as MS) and has been around for years and is used in the USA, so it's shocking that there have been no NHS trials yet.

This petitions for NHS funding for LDN trials, this would make it accessible to so many sufferers who aren't lucky enough to hear about it by word of mouth.

Current NHS treatments available for MS are rubbish, my lass was offered a drug that might reduce the risk of another attack by only 30% and had a whole host of nasty side effects, offering no relief from daily symptoms in the way that LDN does.

Every signature helps, so I hope some of you can spare a few clicks, but if not no worries. Thumbs Up Cheers Smile

How is signing that petition going to help anything? Confused

Millions of people signed the road pricing petition and were completely ignored. Which proves quite conclusively how online petitions are a complete waste of time.

Write to your MP, you'll actually get a reply from your MP rather than a mass mail shot which will say something to the extent "thanks for signing the petition but we know better than you so go have sex with yourself" and MPs have more power than online petitions so MPs are actually able to start the ball rolling to get things changed.

There are so many better things you can do instead of an online petition.

I have written to my MP as well!

I'm aware that that is more useful, and that e-petitions are primarily ways to make the people think that the Government is listening when in fact they care not a jot.

The road pricing is a bad example, they were NEVER going to do anything other than what suited them, the whole country could've signed that without effect.

Whereas this should cost the Government very little initially and longer term actually save them money.

Hence why this is worth signing, and the 'stop being mean to motorists' ones aren't. Smile
