Right, i have been looking on google for a couple of hours before asking here but i use a phone for the internet and the results of the search have not been great.

I am looking for other avenues of work aside from what i already do. I have been trying to find places that buy used . . .

Tyres

Paper

Clothes and fabric

And wood (no hope here i think)

Or any of the above shredded, mulched or ripped.

All important karma cookies for those all important names and numbers.

TBH I don't think there is that much profit to be made by selling this stuff on (now metals on the other hand) and the most profitable side is in being a waste broker, ie removing it from businesses for a fee.

However there are a lot of regulations involved when it comes to collecting, transporting and disposing of waste (even paper).

I am fully insured for carrying waste and have a waste carriers licence as i work the scrap anyway.

I knew a lad a couple of years ago who used to run in paper for about 55 quid a ton.

Only problem is i dont have his number anymore and he has moved from his old unit.

I know the rubber from tires can be sold too, though i think it might have to be ground up. Just cant dig any info up on it.

Used paper isn't worth anything at the moment apparently, I watched a programme a few months ago and the businesses that used to make a lot from it have huge stockpiles and a lot have gone out of business because nobody want's to pay for it anymore.
