Hi all, I bought a '92 Triumph Trident recently and got it yesterday. I wasnt specifically looking for one but one came about at a good price and i thought why not..
Couple of things though, manual is on order but i thought i would ask on here as its as good as for now.
Water pump - weeps water out. I have a spare but want to know how to do it. Do i just empty the water out by taking the pump off and fit new one, rewconnect pipes and fill up with water again, or is there more to it?
Also, when its started up it 'pops' from both silencers at quite short intervals, but appears to slow off and gradually get better as it warms up. (Not sure 100% though as ive only run it for about 5/10 minutes so far - not ridden it yet) What could this be? Apparently they are a bugger when they are cold and you can tell by the way it refuses to rev smoothly when first started but gets better as it warms up.
Also, one last thing, when i started it up and ran it for a while, when i turned it off it started to leak from here underneath the bike.

(it only leaked for about 10/20 seconds and then stopped.
Any help, much appreciated as always. Ant ____________________ 1980 Suzuki TS50 ~ 1984 Honda CB400N ~ 1992 Triumph Trident ~ 1998 Suzuki Bandit 1200 |
