Right, having overcome the hurdle of getting my blade onto the paddock stand single handed, I have been going over it carefully with the assistance of the Haynes manual.

I am not used to bikes with so many variables in the shock and forks (only just getting used to having only one shock absorber!) so decided to follow the instructions and return everything to the standard settings. All fine except for the rear shock rebound damper; the instructions state to screw it clockwise until it stops, then open two turns (same as most of the other adjusters). After some time spent turning the screw clockwise, I began to realize that it wasn't going to stop. Any idea what the problem, and the cure, might be?

TIA

I am sure as I can be, checked and double checked against the manual, the picture matches it perfectly.
