fridge freezer help

hi we bought a 2nd hand zanusi fridge freezer from a shop for the new house , we let it stand about 24 hours to let the gasses set.

plugged it in today and it wont go cold and the pipes on the back wont get warm is it knackered ?

ye the dial was on 4 so i turned to 6 , 6 been the highest

I take it from the post that you had to lay it down to transport it
unforunatly this never a good thing to do even with a new one even worse with an old one.

does the light come on ? it is plugged in and turned on at the switch? is the fuse gone ?
check the simple things first you never know
