Right... as Tin's getting his new toy...
We really could do with sorting out some kinda 'logo' or at least style we're gonna use for BCF stuff.

So ... anyone who's done stuff wanna drop a copy here so we can try and make some kinda decision.

And its usually TiN's fault Razz.

Anyhow, I know a few graphics whizzkids who owe me a few favours, I'll have an ask about Razz.

I've been known to dabble in the dark arts of PSP now and then, if you guys could agree on a theme/colourscheme/approach I'd certainly have a bash for you.

What /I/ would like (though everyone else would probably disagree):

An image of a bike, preferably with rider 'doing' something, ie maybe gykd, or a stunt (though there's a lot more people that can/would like to gtkd than stunt). Maybe in an anime style, with a genericish sports bike... would need to be a fairly simple design colour wise for easy duplication.
Not sure what writing style would suit for 'BCF' (and there was much 'discussion' about this.)

The option to have the logo with or without text/image would be good IMO. Maybe one option with a 'customisable' area possibly, so people could stick their nick and av in there or something.

Anyway.... sure everyone else will want completely different things, so feel free to ignore me Razz.

Hmm, keep it coming, that sounds like a signature template or a banner, is that what you need? Do you (we?) need a new overall logo, or what? Where will it be used? I can do all kinds of text and pictures, but it's no good me doing a 16 million colour logo if its going to be reduced to a 16-colour GIF for transfers etc. I'll get some examples together of what I've done previous, mainly signatures really but I did the logos/buttons etc for my clan's website before we moved to Vbulletin. Sort out what it is you want and I'll do it. If you like it, great, if you don't, great. Smile

It's going to be used (but not limited to Smile ) on t-shirt, stickers, flags, and anything else we can think to do with it... tattoo anyone? Razz

I reckon on a bike doing something... not sure what though would depend on the logo etc Smile Probably with the URL underneath, with the B, the C and the F in bold, possibly a bit bigger font Smile

And space to put your name somewhere on it if wanted as G said.

Might have a poke at it at work tomorrow Smile

I know I haven't been around here long...
but, how about Just a generic bike with person getting knee down. Head on view with black BCF next to it in plain font.
Then Url underneath.
Just a thought.

The idea was to put on various clothing / bike stickers.
Maybe to be used as 'patches' if we're feeling cheesy Smile.

It would definately have to be moderatley simple (so no phot-realistic sunsets Razz ) for reproduction onto the above formats.

Ok it's going to be easier to find out what we don't want than what we do, so have a pop at this.

https://homepage.ntlworld.com/julie.carter23/bcf.jpg

Flag maybe? Gonna have to be simpler I think.

Right....
a. There aren't that many ladies on here and half would probably be offended by the one in th eimage Rolling Eyes
b. Haven't heard 'owt from any of the ducati owners on here recently Neutral
c. All looks a bit too hard to reproduce... I think we did decide we'd have to go for something relativly simple... ie not photo or transitions etc.... why I suggested anime style, 'cos you can get away with big blocks of colour Smile.

Anyway.... nice effort... much better than anything I can do, so don't let me put you off Smile.

Cel-shading will be the way to go mate, along with slightly more simplicity and angularity.

I'd personally prefer to see something amalgamated into one neat "trademark". But I can't think of a shape/arrangement that "BCF" will fit nicely into. Confused

Here's a template of a rough outline of a mere possibility of an idea of a sketch of a logo. Please don't take the piss too much I only have crappy old paint shop pro (need photoshop) and obviously the scenes herein would have to be posed by BCF members. Here goes:

I Volunteer to be the guy on the FZR600 except with a better fashion sense. And obvously there would be no ridiculous gaps between photos in the middle. I volunteer G and Dusty for the Wheelies/stoppies.

I had a go at that too, TiN. The C makes a lovely fuel tank if you draw it right, but the B and F just won't do front and back wheels. Sad

edit-
That looks like a perfectly good layout mate. Whether we can get the right images to make it up, I dunno, but it looks good to me atm.
