one wheeled wobbling?
after a while of being on 1 wheel i start to get a bit of a wobble sometimes. a lefty righty one, not a choppy throttle one.
its fine on 2 wheels, no buckles or anything like that, so im pretty sure its something im doing wrong.
only happens at low speeds. about 10-20mph. above that its fine. it also only happens after about 10 seconds. not over-revving either. we're talking sat at about 1/4-1/2 revs.
ideas/theories im interested in. not someone who wants to look like they know. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. maybe you're moving the handlebars slightly while the front wheel is still spinning and this is having a gyroscopic effect on the bike.
Try pulling the front brake when you're on 1 wheel and see if that makes a difference. Make sure you release it before you set the bike down though.
It's just a guess but I suppose it narrows it down a bit more.
I'd be thinking of other things that effect the rear wheel also such as alignment, wheel bearings etc.
As I said, this is just speculation. For all I know, maybe the wobble is normal.
An afterthought:
Maybe wind etc have less effect on the bike when riding at faster speeds, whereas at lower speeds the wind can make it wobble about. I guess the bike is probably more stable on 1 wheel riding at 50mph than at 10 or 20mph.
I can't wheelie myself, but this is my thoughts. |

I suspect it could be where the old rusty bullet hole is puckering and twitching with excitement of getting it up and this is transferring to the rear wheel.
I don't know, just spit balling. ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

I thought the whole idea of getting on one wheel was to have a twitchty bum hole.

the whole adrenaline from being on 1 wheel gets old pretty quickly.
hence the trying to learn slow speed stuff. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles.
