Im going to look at at a GSXR6 tomorrow with a mate. Its a W reg and has crested 18k miles.

Apart from leaking forks, knackered rear shock, service history, shagged bearings, worn out chain, service history and the usual suzuki rot, is there anything specific with this model to look for?

Cam Chain Tensioners go. They usually rattle when they need attention/replaced. Not a big job, about £40 for a new one.

Cheers bud, I used to have a CBR6 so my ears are trained!

Its only £1600, supposedly in good nick and has quite a few extras, sounds like a good deal to me.

What you reckon?

2000 model? About the going rate I guess. There was a cracker on this forum a week ago for £1000 - not interested?

Its not for me unfortunately, its a mate of mine! Im not sure he'll end up going for this one but things being local are very helpful round here when you consider traveling anywhere is a right pain in the arse because of location!
