Growing your own....

Due to supply issues, i've been toying with the idea of growing my own weed.
Anyways, it reminded me of a funny story from a few years ago:

A mate of mine had converted his shed for growing, and we used to happily help him smoke the crop. He was also a very keen gardener, and had a fantastically groomed garden and a wealth of horticultural knowledge.

Next door to him lived an old biddy who was also a very keen gardener, they were always swapping seeds, seedlings and cuttings etc.

One day as he was sorting his shed out and repotting his weed plants etc, the old biddy happened to look over his fence. She remarked what unusual looking plants they were, how she'd not seen them before, and wondered what variety they were.
A bit shocked, my mate replied that they were Indian Hemp and weren't seen very much as they were terribly difficult to grow.

Oh, said the old biddy, she liked a challenge, would she be able to take a couple of cuttings to try herself.

So, not wanting to cause a fuss, my mate gave a couple of cuttings and thought nothing more of it - happy to have avoided any unwanted attention.

Anyway, the old biddy managed to get the cuttings going, and after a short while she had a massive weed bush growing, around 4 to 5 feet tall - she was so pleased with it, that she potted it up and put it in her living room window!!!

When my mate saw this, he had to go round to her house, cap in hand, and explain to her what it actually was, that it was illegal, and that she had best move it from the window or she'd get into trouble.

Rather than being angry, she was quite disappointed - it turned out that her youngest grandson had 'suddenly developed an interest in horticulture', and was always popping round to help her with the plants - she was worried that she wouldn't be seeing so much of him if she got rid of the plants!!

On a sad note, later that year my mate had a bust-up with his missus and they split. The evil cow smashed all his lights, and poured boiling water and bleach all over his plants, killing them all off.

Although I'm not a gardener myself I personally think that growing weed on your own land is kinda stupid....

Someone elses land or even better public land is a good idea IMO.

Ok yields may be lower than with lamps and such but if its just a bit of personal I can't see it being a major problem...

I see a major problem if you try and grow weed on my land. That means you are willing to have me jailed for your crime. If rhat happens the gloves are off and yout teeth get broken.

For outdoor growing the best bet is to do as the Brown Dirt Warrior does and do it properly. Mr. Green

I've got a cracking spot picked - in an old abandoned quarry. I walk my dog up there at all different times of day and have never yet seen anyone up there. It's perfectly concealed, and just happens to be south facing.
Sadly, it's the wrong feckin' time of year!

Many years ago, I had a plant on a window sill. Not grown anything since though.

Around here, its unofficial for police to tolerate 3 plants and maybe just give a warning if they somehow find out.

However, if you get tempted to grow substanitally more, it can get more serious.

I wouldnt plant anything in a public place though, as I think someone else would find it.

The bored coppers of the forum are probably more interested in threads hooking people up with dealers, than home grown of a plant or tow.

The find-me-a-dealer thread, did seem like an invitation for entrapment to me.
