First: \o/ I finally got my new number plate! Razz

Second: This has been bugging me for a while now; why is 2 stroke referred to as 2t? (same for 4 stroke).

And finally: Just wanted to check that bog standard 10/40 oil is ok for my gearbox.

2. No idea...strange huh!

3. Yup. I think the owners manual says 10W30, but 40 will be fine Very Happy

1.) kewl. just hope the cops don't bust yer ass over it

2.) at a guess the 'T' stands for transitions (sp) as in the pistons only transition (up/down) twice in a 2T whereas they transition 4 times in a 4T

3.) if i remember partly, it is to do with the viscosity (sp?) of the oil

Got the plate from www.malplates.co.uk

It is a legal size one as well, its just that my last one fell off when the mmountings broke so for the last 3 weeks I've had one made out of a keyboard box!

Hi

At last a numberplate. Lucky it has been dry with the cardboard one though!

2T is short for Duo Tempi, Italian for 2 stroke basically

Yep, normal 10W40 car oil will do the job. Proper bike gearbox oil might be better though

All the best

Keith
