Hello,

I’ve got this CDI. Looked too tasty to not try it out, but after bitting it I realized it was too sour for my liking. Can I still run this on my motorcycle? Reckon it works? Maybe cover up the bite somehow? Thanks.

If it works, I don't see why not. It looks like the melting has come externally, and it hasn't melted from the inside out. Those components on display are low voltage ones I think.

If it gets any worse or starts to smell then obviously stop using it and get a replacement unit.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

If it works, just get some potting compound and fill in those gaps.
