hi guys

I recently bought a honda CBF125, great little bike but since i don't have a garage or a big enough shed, i have to store the bike in the garden.

whats the best way to store the bike over night? currently I am using a waterproof cover but since winter is coming, is there anymore i can do to keep the bad weather away from the bike as much as possible?

The cover is breathable but sometimes in the cold mornings there is condensation all over the bike.

Give it a good coating of ACF50. if it has a main stand then use it to keep the wheels off the cold floor.

To stop the tyres from going through extreme cold temperatures which could cause cracking/rotting.

My CG spent all of last winter out in the rain naked, the only thing I really had to do for it was removing rust every few weeks that had built up on the forks. I've only just got around to properly polishing and cleaning the bike up and it looks good as new minus a bit of minor pitting on the top of the forks from some lazyness during the winter Wink (Washing the bike with cold water on a freezing morning = not fun)

Your CBF should be fine Smile

All the links relate to long term storage.... Not overnight, which the OP is asking about.

I doub't that a average Nov to March will case much damage to tyre's give that we only see a few sub zero nights.

Even on a C/S you bike will not be off both tyres. Without some proping of the bike as well.

Do that if you want, but store your bike properly first Very Happy

I think that lifting the wheels of the ground for even long-term storage is a load of rubbish. Ultra-violet degrades rubber not concrete/asphalt (unless the rubber is working that is).
