Hi I'm new to the forum just want general advice really, as I'm thinking of getting another 125cc bike.

Myself:

I'm 22, live in staffordshire, already had one 125 which was a Derbi Senda (4T) which I did a straight swap with some guy off here (i think) for a Vauxhall Corsa, back when i was 17/18 it felt right at the time as i had so much trouble with it and i wanted to pass my driving test, but now i'm missing it to tell the truth, well not that but just being able to go on a bike ride with my mate. (just got a Yamaha R125 , and I've been thinking about getting another bike for a long time now, i just don't know what exacltly I'd like. Maybe something along the lines of an Aprilia Rs125, 2 stroke, so it's got a little kick to it.

If anyone can give me guidance it would be much appraciated.

Depends on what your planning on doing really, if your going to do your full test, I'd say get something like a 2nd hand CG125 to have a blast on for a bit, getting you up to speed again, take your test and then get something bigger.

If you plan on not doing your test, go for something like an RS125, tho I think your full test is the way to go

Go to a few dealerships and sit on as many bikes as they will let you, find something that fits and is comfortable then scour the local free ads, ebay etc for prices.

Are you going for a brand new bike or a second hand? Second hand 125 bikes right now are not as cheap as they were 6 months ago so get a really good bargain you need to spend a lot of time looking. Brand new bikes are good if you intend to hang onto it for a while, my local Yamaha dealer had a offer on YBR 125 at a reduced price with a years free insurance, 3 years warranty and free servicing which was very tempting. But not if you are aiming at doing a big bike test asap.

Oh, and get some insurance quotes before you buy!

No im only at looking to ride with L plates on as i've got a car aswell, and not really thinking of going any bigger i'll only need it to get to/from work (20miles each way) instead of using my car, i was looking to buying a used one aswell.
