hi, ive got a 1996 zxr750 that ive started to get paranoid about!
i noticed today a sort of clicking noise coming from the rear shock when i sit on the bike and get off it. if i bump it up and down, it sounds almost like something metallic is creaking.
ive never really heard it before that ive noticed, but now ive heard it im worried incase it could be something gone. what would do that on the shock? it still goes up and down smoothly and doesnt feel softer than it should be, but its got me riding careful now incase it goes on me!
any ideas
cheers
dan

could be something loose and is knocking against it when you move it up and down

Could be the bearings are starting to go, or the bushes, take them all out, inspect, and re grease.

Obviously, replace any nackered ones. You'd be surprised how often things like this get over looked. My SV linkage was practically dry when I got it. I don't think it was packed well from the factory. Thumbs Down
