Identifying your NSR

Hi!

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but here goes....

How do you actually find out about if you have an UK, french, German or Italian model? I've just bought an 03 model NSR and I live in Norway. Anyone knows which country they come from?

Look at the sticker under the seat stuck to the frame, it should tell you your model. Smile

I will look tomorrow then. But on this sticker, does it say which country direct (like made in UK) or something Razz

? Or does it say some codes which stands for the different countries, and in that case, what codes stands for which countries?

It states the model, the colour, and a code. The model bit is the one you want to look for as it will either say NSR125rr NSR125r etc. Mine says 'NSR125r 1' as it is (or was) a restricted model.

It doesn't say anything about which country it comes from so you might want to do what Lee's said about that. Smile

Hmm... Yeah, ok.

I think mine too says NSR125R 1 or NSR125R-1. Guess I will have to find out from the serial/framenumber or something then.

If it says the same as mine then you've probably only got restrictors in your intake, and exhaust - (simple to remove). Very Happy

i never understand these types of threads. First off, who the hell would buy a bike without knowing even where its from??? It's just something you would ask, especially if you know that some of them are imports!

and surely the best way to identify an NSR is by the big white letters on the fairing saying NSR!!! no?

And can i just add that if you dont know where your bike is from, how do you know its never been in an accident or what parts are original or anything? Best to find out all those details before handing over the cash i say. can save you grief and the need for pointless threads such as this!!!

Since I bought my bike brand new, I guess it haven't been in any accidens Wink

And really, I didn't think about asking where the bike was produced since I didn't know that the restrictions is different from country to country

See, what you've learnt is that you need to do some research into the bike/car whatever before you go to buy one, that way you know all the things to check for and you would have known about the restrictions!!!

Don't worry about, i'm sure someone on here can help you out, just dont' waste your time trying to call Honda.
