These are seriously quick. Above 70 I didn't have a chance.

They can be had a couple of years old for under 25k that is alot of car for the money.

You can pick up the early non VXR for a little over 10k now.

Really nice cars IMO and a serious alternative to an M5 when you consider the costs!

Had a go in one on a VXR trackday around Rockingham. Nice cars, smooth powerful engines, but heavy and would (or should) be raped by any sports 600 or above.

A BMW M5 has everything , the german build quality, the nice ride, the great seats, brilliant engine, great breaks. The monaro or the VXR8 are cheap tacky , have a V8 but its trying way to hard, i saw one the other day, guess who was driving it, thats right the Burberry hat brigade Rolling Eyes

The normal Monaro is a 5.7 Litre LS1 and the VXR is a 6 litre LS2.

You can get a VXR for about £15 - £17k now with decent milage, I quite fancy one. Or I might save up a bit more and just get a Maloo imported, and get a nice supercharger fitted. There good cars, if you go to Sydney, there everywhere!
