rim tape

i have bought a rim tape kit for my bike and havent got round 2 applying it yet, the vinyl is cut it 4 quarters for easier application but i would just like to know if any1 has applied these themselves before and can give me some pointers or advice, also is it better to do it with the wheels on or off, thanks alot, adam

i got the quarter stuff on mine back wheel and i done mines with the back wheel on and was still easyish to apply, a tip is to try and run your finger over it to stop any bits from bubbling and to keep it straight as well
