e) drinks fuel chains arm and scars the cack out me
anyway here what i have dun and i now erem dont start lol (hate carbs )
a) air screw 1.5 turns (as ktm spec)

must have kick the damb thing over about 500 times past 2 day and have now played with the timing
before it was like 20 degrees and only ran with wacky carb settings
now its about 8 degrees and runs with vagly normall carb setting but still working on it
Any body got a good explination what the effect of this is??? or some ideas on whats going on???
supost to be 12 ish i think?!?!?! but theres 2 main postions and then +-5 degrees either side ____________________ ============================

right with 8 degrees ish its alot better at starting but now i have changed back o non resistor plug but it got decent ie normall carb settings ie throutle closed air screw open a bit and it ticks over
so now i am thinking that it was carb setings were wrong and the sparky didnt help so advance the timing a bit more?!??!?!
ANY BODY ALIVE OUT THERE ?!?!?!?!?!
1 of u lot must have some tuning experence ____________________ ============================

Hi
How is the timing meant to be set?
Most of the time there is a static timing mark. You set this using a dial gauge in the spark plug hole. Once it is set statically you can test it with a strobe light. The timing will vary with engine revs.
Try and route the cable so that there is free play whichever way the bars are turned.
The high revs as it runs out of fuel is quite usual.
If the air screw has been tightened all the way in then it can be damaged.
What fuel are you using? It would not surprise me if it is meant to run on higher octane fuel than normal 95 RON unleaded.
Check the needle jet position. Someone may have altered that in the past which could cause problems in the mid range
All the best
