Yes it cost me £2. But I still won Thumbs Up

Anyone else do the odd scratch card. If so what's your favorite, and the most you won?

So far the most I have won is £20 and i like the "Pot of Gold" cards.

Are you going to go and spend that £2 on another scratch card?

I won £40 odd quid the other days on one of the online lotto scratchcard. I wanted to put 2 lines on the Euro lottery on Friday but it's a minimum of £5 deposit so I bought an instant win for £2 . The game was something to do with selecting squares and getting either a line of number, corners or matching colours.

Anyhoo, got £25 for getting 3 corners which I was chuffed with, but picked my last number and won another £20 for I think getting a certain amount of the same colours.

Bought one more with my winnings just in case it was a sign of great things to come. It wasn't.

If I get the bus from Oxford to London at the weekend, I will often buy a £1 scratchcard in the shop next to the bus station. I think in 4 years I had won £1 once.

The other day I won another £1.

So when I got back to Oxford I went in to the same shop and bought another £1 scratchcard. This time I won £15.

I figured £15 wasn't going to change my life so next time I was near the shop I bought £15 of scratchcards. (7x£2, 1x£1). I joked with the woman in the shop that I looked a bit sad buying this many scratchcards. This time I won £46.

I figured £46 wasn't going to change my life so next time I was near the shop I bought £46 of scratchcards. (23x£2). This time I really did look sad. My memory gets a bit hazy now but I think I won about £38.

So I bought £38 of scratchcards and won £14.

So I bought £14 worth and won £15.

So I bought £15 worth and won £8.

So I bought £8 and won £8.

By now I was quite bored. I wanted to either win a reasonable amount - say £100 - or lose it all, but every time I played I would keep winning. People were starting to suggest I had a bit of a gambling problem. The problem was that I couldn't stop winning.

So I had £8 worth of scratchcards. How did I break the cycle? I lost them! Yup, I cleaned up my study and I must have thrown them out. Pah! Probably for the best.

and all this cost me £1. Pound Coin
