The R6 Cleaned and Finished

Here she is, she has had a full plastic repaint in feb.

Been out on her loads the last few weeks and I love it, I am in my early biking days but think I will keep her for a year or two as she fits the bill just right.

It's a 2000 but I have fitted a 2002 rear end and with a tail tidy and painted the rear hugger the same colour, it was black but think it looks a bit better in blue. Also I am thinking about powder coating the wheels maybe white or alloy colour. Your thoughts?

Let me know your thoughts good or bad as I know it's not everyones taste.

looks sweet personally i think white wheels would finish it off make it look some how cleaner always think black wheels are neither here nor there

I think I will get them done at some point as they are a bit tatty compared to the rest of the bike now.

Anyone any idea what it would cost for two wheels to be done?

i just got mine done cost me £80 for shot blasting and epoxy painting was recommended instead of powder coat as it is kinda soft and does not chip or flake like powder coat

Change the front indicators to more slimmer flush fit ones and if you don't do the wheels, a bit of rim tape might help? Reflective white? And change those tyres! D207's will restrict you from having much fun!

paint job is stunning and rest of bike looks immaculate,and i could be wrong but looking at the tread on the front tyre looks like it may be fitted wrong way?

I wasn't a fan of rim tape when I had it on my Gsxr but I think you might be right with some white, it may take your eyes of the wheels...

What is wrong with the tyres? They came with the bike so I haven't done anything with them as yet, I haven't got a clue when it comes to what's good and what's not? What do people suggest?

He thinks the tred on your front tyre is wrong and the tyre should be the other way round. (some numptys at tyre places do do it wrong!) Rear one looks ok though. I may be wrong so don't take my word for it.

Like it, don't know why, maybe it was the video posted recently in the videos section, but I'm half tempted to save up for an early R6...

If it were my bike, I'd replace the rear logo with something a little larger (and OE looking), ditch the Dunslips, fit standard indicators with clear lenses and add a clear screen.

Other than that, nice looking bike. Thumbs Up

The front tyre maybe on correctly , check the arrows . Mine flows that way and is correct . Something to do with maximum water displacement and braking etc . Don't quote me it's just what I was told when I queried the same thing
