Yes, this bike in an import which means customizing this bike is going to be hard. Well, at least for me as I'm 16 and I've never had a bike customization project, although I am determined to make this bike look good.

I am going to be starting with the red version.

I have decided to go for a blue and black theme, to match a helmet I own. I will be painting the whole bike black, then I will be putting on some racing stickers so the colour will stand out.

I plan on fitting a new Technigas Next R Sports Exhuast.

I then want to put the blue into the theme, so I am going to be purchasing a lot of different customization parts so help me do this...

I should be around 17 at this point, I may get it derestricted at this point although I may just sell it for a 125cc and begin working on that. Razz

In that case I want to explain the neons... It is not for me, it's for another selling point when I do get a 125cc. I know people in my area don't look for real performance parts, they look at what they can show off and in my area it's a big thing to have them. I don't know why but it's just the way things go here. :p

If you want to sell the scooter, then modifying it is going to give you bugger all return, especially buying a new exhaust for it.

I say, keep your losses to a minimum, don't modify the scooter, just ride it and sell it when you want to buy a 125. Karma

Wouldn't making the scooter look and ride better increase the value tho?

Not being funny, but this is 100% fact: if a scooter's been modified, it's going to be harder to sell (as the mods will have to be declared to the insurance to be legal - not good for a 16 year old), and also a lot of people will think it's been ragged to hell.

If you want maximum return, keep it standard and well looked after.
