Hi all,

I unfortunately witnessed a bike go down on the H6 in MK tonight, 20/11/09. I was driving behind him, in the dark blue S3, stopped on the roundabout and helped (with another chap in a suit) to make sure you were OK, and eventually get your bike, and you, off the road / roundabout.

The policeman that stopped was quite keen on a) accusing me of pulling out on you and then b) sending the other guy and me on my way once he realised we were trying to help.
When I drove past after picking my friend up, you were still there with an officer.

If you need / would like me to give a statement / testimony I am more than happy to, but like I say I was sent on my way before I got a chance to offer my testimony.

Before everyone asks, the biker was not going overly fast, I think he was just a victim of the roundabouts in Milton Keynes, diesel / white lines and the weather.

I hope you are OK, and that you don't hurt to much in the morning. You got up fast enough to check your bike, so I can only hope you are not too hurt.

Cheers guys, ride safe always, but especially now the weather is turning.

Chris (hoping to get a big-boy licence next Easter).

Sorry mods, I hope this is in the right place. If not, please move as it has been a few years since I have read BCF regularly.

My main concern is that the unfortunate guy that went down is OK and that he doesn't suffer from an over-zealous officer.

I think the guy had an accent, and can only hope that if he is not on BCF that someone that knows him passes this on to him. Messages like this make the biking community what it is, I believe, even though I am not yet part of it.

Ride safe all, and PLEASE remember that we all, car or bike, need to look out for each other.

Hope to see you all at a gathering next year!

Chris (again, jealous I am only in a cage, not enjoying a bike Very Happy )
