anyone used this company?

i've recently (saturday) bought 2 domains on behalf of someone, which have been setup to forward mail to a googlemail account, however they just aren't working.

now I have a personal account with 123-reg and have checked and google doesn't block mail this account forwards.

is there a delay when setting up new domain names? the names appear to be active as www. (ok you only get a holding page but they are there)

Am i just being impatient?

I use 123-reg, they're a lot better than some companies out there...(names.co.uk for example)! Not had a problem with email forwarding. Mine happened instantly so might be worth logging a support call with them.

used to use them a few years ago for a commercial site and never had any problems. mail forwarding seemed to work ok.

have you contacted them?

If you terminate an account with those scumbags be sure to keep your emails and their replies. Over a year later they took money from a card by DD, for an account that had been cancelled. I had to get the bank's fraud dept involved, and 123 still claim I owe them a couple of hundred quid. They hung up on me more than once while dealing with their lies over the phone, told me to "fvck off" and generally did everything they could to hang onto money that wasn't theirs, even after I forwarded them their own emails confirming the account had been terminated.

They are fraudulent scum, period.

It can take anywhere between no time at all and up to 24 hours for new domains to work their way round the net's DNS servers.

I use Easily for all my domains and customer's domains. Not the cheapest but good and professional service.
