Yeah what the above said, after 30 minutes of gameplay everything is the same, repeated over and over in different cities (which all look the same) and the story isn't good enough to keep it bearable. I gave up about 40% the way through, and is why I won't bother with the new one either.

The new one is a vast improvement over the original .
Gameplay mechanics are the same but theres lots of new ways to top people and not so much sitting around on benches

Played the new one for a few hours, Kudos to the development team, it seems they listen to original ones complaints, and have adressed them.

The story is much more....story like, none of this 'repeat mission 10 times to allow access to kill the target' rinse and repeat.

It's now similar to GTA story-wise...you go to where the mission is, and do the mission, etc.

Combat and story are a huge improvement, you have more ways to blend in now also, you can hire 'ladies of the night' to distract guards, or you can blend in with crowds. If you get a high notoriety,you can rip down wanted posters, kill corrupt officials, or bribe people.

There is also a money system now, you can pickpocket, buy upgraded weapons, armour etc.

It's quite slow to start, you don't start as an Assassin now, you are just some kid who get's in street fights, but things change and eventually you start learning how to fight properly.

So yeah, so far, a huge improvement over the first - which I also never completed due to getting bored of the repetitiveness.
