I recently aquired an aprilia RS125 rolling chassis the guy I got the frame off gave me the log book but he's filled it in with his details even though the bike is already in his name?? Confused Is it just a case of getting a new form from the post office & sending that (with my details) & the old one to the DVLA? Cheer. Thumbs Up

Tell him he's been a proper numpty, tell him to send it away, wait a few weeks for it to come back, and then to let YOU fill it in.

It'll add another owner onto the bike but it's cheaper and easier than getting a hold of another log book.

Personally i would go down to your local DVLA office with the logbook and explain to them. Things are a lot easier and quicker when dealing with them over the counter Ive always found Thumbs Up

If hes give you the v5 with his section filled in, is the new keepers slip blank? or has he done the whole lot? If blank just fill and send yours in with a v60 i think it is? It's free as its on the assumption the previous owner never sent it. Only have to pay if you've lost it or a replacement etc.

Tip ex out what your mate has written and fill your own details in.

People are allowed to make mistakes.

Send a little note with it explaining if you feel the need to but i wouldn't worry.

I've done it.
