Hi all,

just wnted to show my project i`m going to be working on. Its a 1983 Virago 750SE (pretty rare by all accounts) I would like to do a restoration job on it with a few tweaks here and there to improve the looks of it.

Iv already started by removing the rear subframe and iv started getting rid of all the rust and old paint with a wirebrush, I have found a small hole and crack in the subframe which hopefully can be repaired (I`m going to take it to a pro)

At present i`m not sure how far I want to strip it, as i`m not sure of my abilities (iv done alot of maintenance type stuff like bearings, chains) Thigs which I have to tacle are:

-Carb boot mount on the cylinder head bolt hole is damaged (currently held in with JML fixit putty)

-Have the dreaded starter grinding sound on startup so need to investigate how bad the starter clutch is.

-certain parts are hand painted and look tatty, so would like to repaint.

-Rear fender is a aftermarket one and just not big enough, so i`ll have to look round for a better alternative, choice is a little imited as I want to keep the dual seat.
