Win 7 Timing Application Startup

I use pidgin and snarl for notification popups.

Problem is even though snarl is starting before pidgin, sometimes it seems as though pidgin is starting before snarl has finished loading and the application isn't registered and I must restart snarl.

Still all thumbs with Windows 7 so if anyone knows their way around it enough to suggest a solution to this, I'm all ears.

I find the task scheduler in Windows 7 to be better than any other windows ones before. Starts up all apps, wakes up the computer from sleep etc.
