performance wise my bike has a full leo vince system, a piper cross filter and a ducati performance ecu, my bikes never been standard, not not sure what it would have run in standard trim

the chart below shows the difference between my bike being custom mapped directly to the ECU (done by moto rapido) and the ducati performance generic map

not bad for a twin aye

crank horse power wally, dyno shows WHEEL horse power

yes, a 67 bhp lc4, it's a 660 smc, full exhaust, air box removed and jetted to match, makes close enough to 63 rwhp, which equates to just about 67 at the crank, maybe more

Don't you know the golden rule of stating power figures? Think of a number and then add 20?

So you took the engines out of these vehicles to get the crank figure?

At a guess they are probably the manufactures claimed figures, always at the crack and always exaggerated.

But i cant be bothered to look them up as im hung over.

why are there so many negative people like you around ? why does it bother you so much ? a full exhaust alone makes a 10% increase over the standard 160 bhp ducati claim, so why are you even questioning my figures

That graph shows me that its not worth paying for a custom map.

Also how much did all the mods cost, do you think they are worth the money??
Did they bring your laptimes down a significant amount hence making them worth while?

I'm being fly, I really don't see the point in power mods.

The 1098 is a awesome bike out the crate, something I or most fellas couldn't exploit to the full. So why then spend loads of cash making it even more powerful and quicker??

Because he can/wants to?

Seriously who gives a fck if it's 'worth it' or if you can 'make use of it' you do stuff to your bike because you want to.

Yeah totally up to people what they do with their bike...its a free country.

Point is though you spend all the money but can't get near limit of the bike as standard ergo won't be able to expoilt the gains of the mods.

So if you take the noise of the exhaust out of the equation, the rest is just facts and figures hence all the mods come with a sticker in the box, let everyone know what you've done.

Be interesting to take someones bike and stick an end can on. Then plaster the bike with stickers and give em some fake graphs and see what they say. Bet your bottom dollar they'd say "it feels like a different bike". Placebo effect.

i spent over 8k on mods on my ducati, worth it? probably not, but it looks good, would i do it again, no because i'm a little more financially sane

because of emission laws, large twins suffer a hell of a lot (more low down than anything), it's not just about power gains, it's about making the bike run better and making the throttle smoother and more responsive, large standard sports twins are terrible at low speeds, mine isn't

really do not get people who question why and what people spend their money on, i earned it!

who is bullshitting ? it is well documented what power is at the crank of a 1098 with a full exhaust system

it is also mentioned all over forums how much power a 660 smc makes with a simple airbox removal and full exhaust

Other than the exhaust, and maybe that little open clutch cover, it looks pretty standard to me. I can understand a lot of money being spent on brakes and suspension, but even that looks standard on yours.

Look at warped for reasons not to lie Laughing

£300 - are you another one that's bothered by me spending money ? and if you actually look, it gains across the whole rev range by 3 - 6 bhp, the bike is also smoother and easier to ride at slower speeds

do you really want a list ? look at my pictures n the picture section, i also got £2,500 on my standard parts, so realistically, £5,500

and when told, turned out to be lies. I would like a list actually. Even in the picture thread it looks not far off bog standard.
