Neighbour From Hell

A little bit of background,

My mum lives on a housing estate in west london, in a relatively nice area as far as estates and such go. She has lived there for well over 16 years now, She rents from the local authority.

My mum has a ground floor flat and about 6 years ago a woman (Egyptian muslim, which will become relevant later) moved in directly upstairs with some young children. At first there was no problems directed at us, at this time i was living at home, i moved out soon after. After a couple of years my mum and her live-in boyfriend started hearing the children screaming as if they were getting beaten. Shortly after the police began making semi-regular appearences upstairs. What everyone thought was that her husband was beating her. There was one night it got quite bad and my mum even took the woman into her house, gave her tea/food etc and waited for the cops to come, the guy was arrested to much distain from all the onlookers.

Case closed right, wife beater arrested, poor woman...

Well it transpires she was never beaten at all, she has a track record of lieing about such things and frivolously calling the police.

Then a little while later she decided to flood her floor with water, presumably to wash it, which had the obvious affect of water running down my mums walls.

In the mean time the kids are growing up, a couple more have popped out, so now screaming babies are another noise to contend with.

So a couple of years ago my mum is at home and the police turn up and arrest her, what for i hear you ask? aparently racially abusing the "woman" upstairs. Did you know accusations of racism are one thing you can be arrested for on the word of one other person alone?. She was taken to the station, interviewed let go rather sharpishly as it was clearly not true. It turns out that in addition to lieing about being beaten by her husband she has a track record of calling the police on previous neighbours for similar made up events, usually playing the muslim race card.

No one can understand why the police dont charge her with wasting police time.

So now my mum has the legitmate fear that if she is home alone this woman can make false allegations and she will have no alaby to say otherwise.

Her kids are also noisey little bastards, the young kids can be excused as they know no better but her eldest boy is about 15/16 now and is a cocky little shit towards my mum, whenever i come home he or any of them dont say a goddamn word, or even look me in the eye, i asked him what his mothers problem was, and why she feels the need to harrass my mum, all he could do was shrug with his fat gormless face. Which made me want to grab him by his thorax and drown him in the canal. I was convinced not to and am under orders from my mum not to say or do anything to any of them, i suppose in fear of police retalitation, as they seem to be her personal force.

Some more background, She is actually banned from entering the grounds of her childrens primary school, she once called the police on the estate caretaker because he refused to climb a ladder and retreive some of her unsightly clothes that had blown onto a nearby tree. She also (and this takes the busicuit) called the police (i presume a 999 call) that the neighbourhood children would not play with her children in the playground . For the life of me i dont understand why the police havent sectioned her yet. I can only assume its the race card.

She makes horrible scratching sounds through the cealing (their floor), which can only be moving furniture around, constantly, banging doors etc. A nightmare.

The council seem unwilling to do much, my mum has been keeping a dairy of all the little events and photographing her regular fly tipping outside our window.

Its driving my mum mad. I rarely say it but if i found out tomorrow that the woman upstairs, her kids or any combination thereof had been killed i would actually smile and feel good...

Its a terrible thing to have to live below such scum.

Any suggestions or your own experiences of scummy neighbours?

Heh, maybe the police would take action then. I mean they know her as "the nutter" now.

I was outside fitting new downpipes on my ninja a couple of weeks ago and i see the police pull into the estate and walk up to our door (of about 8 flats). I said:

Me: Number 12?
Police 1: Yes were here to see that woman
Police 2: Do you know anything about the kidnapping of her children?
Me: No idea mate, dont want to get involved she has called you guys on us falsely before
Police1: /Sigh and went up

On that occasion the gran of the children (who often comes round and screams up "CHICOOO, CHIICOOOO, CHIICCOOOOOOO" has taken the kids out for a few hours and the mother not liking this reported it as a kidnapping

People are afraid to get involved because of the "race card" (despite that muslim is not a "race", even they like to use it as an excuse)

Don't question her race/religion/culture ... question her sanity.
Next time the police are called:

(1) check whether its Mister James ( ) ; and
(2) ask why she has not been sectioned, or indeed whether she has even been sent to a shrink, or whether her children should be on the "at risk" register.

Dunno what else to suggest.

She needs to get all the neighbours together and then ALL contact the council about her and the way she is causing problms.
Get the local councilor involved.
Should enough complain, the council WILL have to act.

Getting doctors to section and incarcerate mentally ill people is not an easy process. Causing annoyance to others is not usually considered sufficient grounds. These people have a right to be mental! Throw into the equation the race and religious shit and your mum is on a hiding to nothing. Don't expect too much help from the plods either. They know that an allegation of wrong-doing from a ''darkie'' can have very serious consequences indeed.

Sorting things like this out takes a long time, its seems like a endless battle emotionally and physically draining, i have been down this route before, i won in the end. but if i had todo it again i think i would just move i know your mum should not becuase of someone else etc but sometimes its just better to knock it on he head and get a fresh start. some people may say its a weak option personally i dont think so, to me it seems a smart option

When i lived in a flat with my GF we had a very noisy/abusive neighbour next door.

He would play his music at full blast till silly o'clock in the morning, threaten the single lady who lived upstairs (one day him and all his mates surrounded her in the car park) and gennerally be a nuisance.

In the end we all complained at the same time and kept complaing until something was done.

This way it became obvious that it wasn't just one person singling the guy out; he clearly was being a problem as everyone was complaining.

Eventually the guy was evicted and we never saw him again.

So what if shes asian, muslim or black we all have the right to live in peace. Why is it that these ppl sprout racism when it suits them? Winds me right up.....

The situation is shyte, all I can suggest is go through the propper channels, or get a bunch of you round there on your bikes and scare the sh1t out of her, and if she does call the police just go into your mums house and just say you turned up for a cuppa.

Get your mum to go see her doctor about the 'stress' she is under from the neighbours behaviour... medical reports can be very helpful when it comes to MP's and council departments! I would also go and get some advice from the citizens advice bureau.

She sounds worse than the women across the road from me, she phones the police because someone elses kid was bigger than hers or someone stared at her to long she has wasted so much police time the last I heard was that the police where going to charge her and where calling around everyones houses she has called the police on. someone bought it to their attention so they are building a case,.any chance you can do that? you can do her for harassment and waste of police time by police.

I cant stand people like that! i think you should do the women who cried wolf and give her what she is complaining about. No one will believe her with her track record anyway and it would be her come upons. I be getting the pig on the spit outside.

I can understand where your mum is coming from as she has to live with it not you , I had to keep stump about my parents pedo rapist neighbour calling my mum names. But that didnt work but what my other half said stopped him from calling my mum names or paying attention to her again.
