Hi guys, just did my CBT and intend to do my A2 or DAS in probably 2-3 months time. Need opinions on which bike to buy with decent power that can be limited to 125cc for the time being. Only have about £1000 to spend.

limited to 125cc?

Surely you mean limited to 14.6bhp, which, if you are 17 or over, is the limit to the power output you're allowed and up to 125cc

So you could buy a restricted 2 stroke 125 but my advice would be to get a 4 stroke 125. Easier to ride, cheaper to; buy, run and insure.

it depends what style of bike you like, but probably something like a Honda CG125 or a Yamaha YBR 125 to get you're biking legs and some practice before sizing up and doing the test

Personally i did my test on a YBR, and found the maneuvers easy (especially compared to my RS) and it's a fine bike to learn on.

Good luck
