Folks.

Last night I replaced the electric window motor on a Polo I have inherited. Thing is, I took it apart months ago and cannot remember how it goes back together, specifically; how the motor & winding mechanism attaches to the inside of the door.

I think I sat for about an hour and a half last night trying to jam the stupid thing back in but all I really succeeded in doing was inventing new permutations of existing curses and invectives.

Anyway, its an N reg three door polo, all I need is a schematic showing the passenger door innards showing where this stupid bloody motor goes. I have so many screws and bolts left over, it's a bit of a worry.

I'm at work so cannot D/L rar's from these ebook/PDF libraries... Any help on an online source much appreciated.

Thanks.

Thumbs Up

How about taking the trim off the driver's side and having a look there? Can't see it being different.

Tried that (obviously,) and it is different.

Even if it was the same, you can't actually see the mechanism with out removing so much of the door's innards, you run the risk of causing more damage resulting in more waiting for bits ordered online.

A diagram would be much easier.

If it was obvious you had tried that, I wouldn't have suggested it.

Fair enough.

I suppose it's relative, what is obvious to me may not be obvious to you.

I'll see if I can find the relevant bits of the Haynes manual tonight and scan them in if I get a minute.

Hi.

Thanks, but it's fine. I bought a Haynes manual but it doesn't show that part of the mechanism.

I just tiewrapped it back into place... It works fine... For now anyway...
