The Mars rover "Spirit" has now developed a second faulty wheel (out of 6) just when it needed it the most Click

If Spirit can't break free it'll become a stationary science base, much like the 70's Viking.

I think the two rovers have done pretty well surviving for 5 years (so far) when they had a design life of 3 months.
