hi,
yes you can use a charger on these sealed gel type batteries.
there good batteries, but only when in constant use.
if left unused for a while, there knackerd!
for some reason, even the optimate will not rescue it.
damned expensive to replace as well, so just replace with a "normal" battery.
cheers,
GAZ

Thanks for replying.
So are they 12v batterys.

Can l use a car battery charger to charge it.

So sealed battery are gel are they or do you get acid sealed battery also.

If the battery is no good after charging roughly how much would one cost...

A standard car charger would fry such a small battery. Get a slow charger such as:

The battery's flat with a reading of 11.86v and the trickle charger you put on here says it's no good for flat batterys but ok to stayed charged and top up. So is there a charger that will charge a complete flat battery, or could l use my car charger for a hour or so then switch of for a while then switch on again and repeat this till l have a charged battery to decrease the chance of cooking the battery with one charge.

Hi,
you might be better off investing in a decent charger.
like an optomiser?
one that will re-charge deeply discharged batteries & keep them topped up.
problem is there expensive.
charger =£40+
battery = £25 & charging it once on a slow charging car charger ~(like 1 amp) wouldnt kill it, if it was done the once.
I have a cheap car battery charger, feck knows where i got it, but its only 4 ah at max & 1ah on trickle.
done a few bike batteries (even 3 or 4amp ones) on trickle.worked fine.
Anyway, whats wrong with bumping the bike & then going for a ride to see if the battery charges up?
cheers,
GAZ

4 amp is way too much for such a small battery. The fast charge rate for a cell like that is about 2 amps.

the trickle charger would charge it in a few hours as its such a small unit.

hence the reason i was using it on trickle =1ah.
oh & that charger you linked to, aint exactly suitable either...
seeing as it states its not intended for flat batteries, lol
which is why i suggested a optimate/optimiser originally.
the 4 amp car charger i have is an example of what can be used , if to hand, seeing as it has a choice of 1ah or 4ah charge.
my main charger is the type that can be hard wired, its bolted onto the wall, it can recover deeply discharged batteries & can mantain batteries once up to required voltage & can be left like that for ages. (pretty sure it can do other stuff as well) pretty good pressie (xmas or b/day, cant remember now but it was a damned good pressie)
i agree 4ah would fry a small bike battery but the 1ah option would be safe enough to get it charged up.
(for a one off)
cheers,
GAZ
