Hypothetically speaking if someone had lost the paper counterpart of their licence and was too tight to spend £20 on a replacement but knew that a change of address was free would it possible to change the address from for instance:
20 blah street
to
20A blah street
Or would it just not show up on an address database and not work? ____________________ Now: '00 Kawasaki ZRX1100R - Past: '84 Yamaha DT125, '89 Kawasaki KLR600, '97 Yamaha XJ600N

Would it matter that the person in the hypothetical situation was only getting the paper part back to do their driving tests? Would they need any ID with addresses on it for their driving tests? Could also look a bit dodgy for this person to have a licence registered at one address and vehicles insured and registered to another address if they ever got pulled by the police.
I would advise the person in the "hypothetical situation" but it was 6 years ago that I did my bike test and it's all changed now anyway and I've yet to do my car test ( ) so I'm not sure! ____________________ Now: '00 Kawasaki ZRX1100R - Past: '84 Yamaha DT125, '89 Kawasaki KLR600, '97 Yamaha XJ600N

There is no stipulation on how long you need to be at an address for you to need to change licence details ,so..........change to a mates as youve had a split with mum/missus and change back 2 months down line, this works ____________________ CRF230 all you need |

You can change address details online, it takes about 10 minutes to do hence scheming! You're supposed to send your old licence back in but I've never sent any of mine back, just shredded and thrown them out. ____________________ Now: '00 Kawasaki ZRX1100R - Past: '84 Yamaha DT125, '89 Kawasaki KLR600, '97 Yamaha XJ600N
