Hi,

My friend has just recently bought a 2006 4t Gilera Runner Vx125. The previous owner lost the keys so my friend got a key cut from the lock. The bike doesn't start though as the Immobiliser is cutting the spark as the key isn't coded to match the scooters immobiliser.

I just wondered what way I can bypass the immobiliser? I've been told that an aftermarket CDI will remove the immobiliser and allow the bike to spark again.

Malossi CDI

I know that says its for a piaggio 125 but I'm pretty sure the Gilera uses the same engine.

Ta,
Jack

Weird deja'vu. Confused Just tell him to go to his nearest piaggio/gilera dealer & get another orange key, don't think they're that expensive so long as he's got the code card. Thumbs Up

He should still get a new orange key, give them the chassis n.o & they should be able to trace it.
