Seems the US car makers are feeling the pinch.
Pontiac ended and now Hummer discontinued.

Not that that's a bad thing.

Nice to see that SAAB will still be around though, bought by those crazy Dutch Spyker car people...
SAAB-Spyker deal

Thumbs Up

I like Hummers, they are a man's car firmly in the "Wagon" class of vehicle.

Wouldn't catch me in one of the ghey shiney ones thought, they should be a faded matte of some kind (black FTW) similar to an old SIII landie.

There are two types of Hummer, the H1 and the H2. The H2 is not the same as the H1 by a long chalk. The H1 was the military one that wasn't sold to the public and used by the military. It has now been replaced by another military vehicle.

The H2 was crap. Slow, bad on fuel, crap off road. I'm glad its dead, it has no redeeming features whatsoever.

Just because they're closing public sales doesn't mean they won't continue to fullfill the military contract, maybe change the name of it is all. Can't say I really care though, they're maybe good military vehicles but they take the piss on the road.

Pontiac's days were numbered anyway, the Firebird was just a Chevrolet Camaro in different clothes, the GTO was a rebadged Holden Monaro and the G6 which is just a slightly modified Saab 9-3, the brand has mostly just cloned other cars so it makes sense to shed it and just keep Chevrolet.

There will be a lot of broken hearted plastic gangstaz around here. Bittern that piece of Yankee junk should not even be mentioned in the same sentence as a Series 3 Landy and BTW the Series 2a was a far better vehicle, plastic rad grills are gay as you can not use it to cook on over a fire
