pretty good quality vid there, but would have been more exiting if you had a few laps with warm tyres on there Very Happy

i did snetterton for the first time back in august and tbh i didnt really enjoy it and was fed up by lunch and parked the bike up for the day Laughing . there were lots of 1000cc bikes in novice group that were gash in the bends but obviously killed a 600 on the back straight so it was very frustrating to say the least lol. also im not a fan of straights anyway so this track didn't tick that box either. Im definately more of a cadwell and anglesey kinda guy as i like loads of bends with no long stretches of nothingness( never been bothered about 120ish+ speeds)

another thing that ruined it a bit was the huge cracks that run round the corners, had a few real brown trouser moments in those Sick

was sorta glad i went though, just for the experience n all but definately wont be going back.

That one was actually not my camera, it was one of the Focus Events hire cameras for the day.

They are pretty good though, hopefully mine come out just as good.

Nice vid Thumbs Up , how much do focussed events charge for the camera hire?

I've done a couple of days at Snetterton now and whilst I enjoyed them I agree with Salty that it can be really frustrating on a slower bike. I found that I was sitting behind people round the tighter section then getting left for dead along the straights only to bottle neck back up again at the end of the straight.

I'm planning on getting a trailer next year so I can travel a little further afield, Snetterton is only 20mins down the road but most other tracks are 2-3 hours.

Those big cracks in the track do make it look very offputting to a trackday virgin like me! Shocked

Maybe i just need balls.

i dont think they effect you too much if your of a higher level of track riding as they dont seem to be in the way of the usual line, you just kinda cross over it whch is ok i found. I myself occasionaly make my own line up and a few of these occasions saw me running more or less perfectly round the crack Laughing , it does throw u about a bit

The cracks did not put me off that track at all, try brands Hatch, Clark curve has a masive crack all the way round it, always fun.

The camera hire was £40 for 2 sessions, which I did. Well worth it.

Kool!! Cool

Watching that made me want to get my track bikes out and do a trackday!! Thinking

As for people getting held up in the bends, that is a sure sign you have put yourself in the wrong group!! Wink

i am getting a little better now i feel and probably should consider inters next time, but on that particular day nearly all the other 600's were a hoot to race with and in 1 or two of the sessions i ended up having a proper to and fro battle with a few of them but the 1000cc bikes just seemed to get in the way until the straights, just unlucky i guess Confused

Ah, perhaps sir should employ a good bit of erratic weaving down the straights - that might put the thous off the easy pass and leave sir to his corners uninterrupted?!!? Laughing

Get on the powahhhhhhhhhhh earlier me thinks. Got the jump on many a thou down the back straight at Snetts. As long as you hop right up to their rear wheel on the exit you can usually slingshot past them.

Personally didn't notice the cracks at Snetts when I was there, as said Brands in worse in places for crack/shite repairs, but then it's just a case of going with it and letting the bike do it's thing.

I quite enjoy Snetts to be honest, the Bombhole, Coram, and Riches are fun.

Tis a good vid though. Thumbs Up

Reminds me I only have 3 weeks until I'm back out. Need to do and oil, brake fluid and tyre change before then. Laughing

Job for Tuesday.
