the pink wire?

still trying to solve the charging prob on my h1. had a nose around the bikes somewhat dilapidated wiring and found a pink wire with no home. according to the gospel haynes chapter 9.25 verse 18 it goes to the ignitor but ends in an arrow not a connection. where does it go, what does it do and is it possibly the cause of my charging problems?

Pink wires on jap stuff ,especially smaller stuff , usually denotes a lighting coil wire or a shunt wire to a ballast resitor .Some smaller bikes have a ballast resistor switched into the sidelight wiring so that the extra electricity from the coils dos;nt overload and blow the sidelight bulbs.

Generally Pink ,White and yellow get used to denote main lighting circuits,sorry cant be more specific

And just occasionally, you do get cables that go absolutely nowhere.
