Talking to my work colleague today about it after hearing it on Radio1. I'm all in favour of Xfactor not getting a no1.

I find Simons comment about this quite funny too..

I ended up buying it from Amazon for 29p...

Hmm. X-Factor song, or Rage Against The Machine.

Both property of Sony. Either way Sony wins.

Fvck you I won't do what you tell me...

Sick of these talentless bastards getting no.1. RATM isn't my favourite band, but I really hope they're number 1. The guys who tune the guitars for them have more talent than Joe. Saying that, I'm a bit of a traitor considering I go to the same college as him Laughing Laughing

I'm not buying X Factor because I assume it's bollocks and I'm not buying RAGM because I really don't care what happens. And you also shouldn't care. Rolling Eyes

Buying a single to prevent someone getting a number 1 spot makes you a idiot tbh. Shouting about it makes you a bigger idiot. What exactly is the point of it? It's as useful as the people that voted for Lordi in the Euro song contest a few years back. And the people that claimed to be Jedi's in the hope to make it a religion. Rolling Eyes

I bet the cock who thought of putting RATM agains X-Factor is pissing/creaming himself by now.

It is called viral email people, and its actually pretty insidious. And Ironic considering the song chosen, and the line at the end of it.

Who gives a crap if X-Factor wins the Xmas number 1? I've got better things to spend 30p on than to try to stop some talentless knob from becoming this years one hit wonder.

If you're paying just 29p for your copies then they wont count at all. One of the criteria for inclusion in the singles chart is that the item must be sold for a minimum dealer price. I believe this is currently set at 40p.

A better protest against the X-Factor is punching the winners in bookshops. Bonus points if you punch Simon Cowell.

The X Factor will win hands down.

Heard on the BBC that although RATM are in the lead, the physical X Factor single hasn't hit the shelves yet. When it does it will run away with it.

Now, ignoring the irony (and quality) of the track chosen I think its great that someone has decided to create the facebook group and generate the hype.

Its a shot across the bows of the phone-vote mentality and the cynical timing of the X Factor series which is purely to obtain the coverted christmas No1 slot. Its just a pity that the shot has only been taken with a pea shooter.

I'm agreeing with MarJay. I've never even noticed that the X Factor winner was always at number one at Christmas.

I heard that Sony are shipping 500 000 copies of the X Factor single to shops either today or tomorrow and it doesn't take that many to get to the top spot anymore. That guy will win hands down but tbh I couldnt give a monkeys. I dont watch the program, I dont know who he is and I would rather save my money.

Although Rage as Christmas #1 would be funny.

Funny as it'd be for rage to get the christmas #1 I'm not about to buy something I already own a second time.

There's always some 'alternative' favourite at this time of year anyway, I think it was Malcolm Middleton last year, but has the xfactor stuff ever been beaten? Can't see it happening.

Fed up of hearing about this shit now.

I've had I don't know how many people inform me how awesome this campaign is, all 200 of my friends bar my best mate on facebook have joined this group and on top of it all, I receive hourly invites to the group.

You know what, I hope it doesn't get to number one, because then won't you feel the idiot for spending 90p on something that meant shit all in the long run???

Like others have said, who exactly knew or cared X-Factor was always number 1 at Christmas??

If it was you and you are a man, I hope you enjoy sausage, because no self respecting man would care.

Getting to be Christmas number one takes real skill, whoever manages it will have achieved the same as what the talented musician Mr Blobby did. Razz
