just been down at the shed and it turns out i have......

..horn working
....indicators (rear working)
immobiliser Smile (which means I don't have one of the problems that appears to be so common with the speedfights Smile )

so.....on to the major problem (i think)...everything on my right grip is not working (all the electrics anyway) and said grip is also loose....

....I dont have a kick lever on it atm because the teeth are junk and I am going to check the retention spring after xmas so with no lever I cannot check if it starts without the electric start.....

....I also have good breaks (or at least the feel good lol)...

....so does anybody else think that the next thing I should tackle is the right grip?? it seems obvious that there is a problem there...

I think you're in the right area. Electrics are such a pain in the arse sometimes Shocked But most problems are straightforward, usually related to water seepage, corrosion or worn/damaged wires.

the one you highlighted is likely to be in the rear of the bike under the plastics, have you checked to see if the right connector for the switchgear that isn't working is plugged in?(assuming it has a connector block)

Edit: it would also help everyone diagnose your problem if you specify what bike/scooter it actually is, instead of slipping the word speedfight in once and hoping everyone guesses right.

terribly sorry about that, yes its a peugeot speedfight 100cc its 1999 (T reg) and is red, i think it is a 'prost' as it has a spoiler thingmy on the back....

....hm......it does seem likely as it has sat for a long time....

....It was running before though...I have recently had bad battery issues due to the cold but I was expecting that...

The electrics seem easier (to me) than the mechanical stuff...but this is my first venture into mechanical stuff thingmies lol

It's a Peugeot Speedfight.

I guessed that much, do all the different cc and years use the same electrics since introduction?
