ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston?

How do Very Happy XJ6 is a nice bike. I wasn't going to say 'proper bike' but I'm trying to rehabilitate myself and see plastic bikes as proper too Wink

Thanks for the welcomes Very Happy
not had any chance to get out on either bike since passing my test at the beginning of December due to a combination of work and bad weather, but looking forward to the spring.
OH has an sp1 and a blackbird, and I'm looking forward to riding my own bike and not being a backseat rider (of the bird, the sp is just too uncomfortable!) all the time Laughing

You should get out on your 125 if you can! Thumbs Up It's ever so slightly warming up now, at least there isn't any ice about any more and I'm going to arrogantly suggest now that you shouldn't let a little bit of weather get in the way of your riding Razz I've already done about 1500 miles this month on my 125 Mr. Green

1 in 4 drive covered in 8" snow/ice has only just melted, together with black ice, its bad enough in the car!
one of the drawbacks to living on the coast in a rural area.

Sad
