Hi
Just signed up to the site as I'm buying a G Reg 750 ZXR in the morning but was wondering if there is anybody who can advise me of any common faults/problems that I should be aware of from these bikes as I'm only used to the Bandits.
Cheers.

warping front disks is a common one. hard rear shock is just as they came out of the factory and things like siezed in wheel spindles when they were new due to lack of grease on the assembly line were common but that would have been done by now I'm sure! balance the carbs if it's a bit lumpy and racing tickover if you have the choke on...but apart from that they seem ok

I had a zxr750 h2 a few years ago the bain of my life was the alternator belt slipping its a easy enough job to sort out, apart from that niggle i had mine for a couple of years and it was pretty much bullet proof. had a carb stick open once but thats about the only problem i can recall so all in all gets the thumbs up from me

i was working in a kawasaki dealer when they were launched, they popped fork seals before they were sold and the discs warped before the first service, after these were fixed they were pretty sound bikes and i do remember PB doing a feature about a london despatch rider who took his over 100,000 miles!
