The sun has been out for the past few days so on Friday I decided to go out for a ride. The roads were dry and completely empty! Razz I got about 20 miles in to some nice country lanes when I slowed for a corner because I thought I some some gravel or something and when I got close it turned out to be snow! I got round the corner only to find more and more snow. As I'm someone who gets scared with the tiniest wetness on the road I decided to turn back, turned around ok then released the clutch and got some nice wheel spin and fish tailing and ended up riding back to the dry parts with both feet down at a snails pace. Funny thing was at the time I was like Surprised Shocked then once I got through I was like Cool

Laughing

What I found even more dangerous though was the low sun. Even with a dark visor you can't see anything when it's directly at you.

It might be sunny but theirs still ice and dodgy sunlight so be careful Thumbs Up

(My bike is also filthy as hell!)

Good times! But you shouldn't be afraid of the snow, you should have decided to stay there a bit longer and have fun just going through the snow slowly. It would have built up your confidence and given you more experience of less traction in such conditions.

ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston?
