Hey all,

been toying with the idea about investing in some heated gloves so I am after some first hand reviews from anyone who has some.

I have read most of the threads on here and i know lots of people say heated grips and muffs are the way forward but i am fed up of my heated grips braking all the time.

The main brands seem to be Biketek, Klan, Exo2 and Gerbing - does anyone have any experience with these?

My Dad has the Klan gloves but they don't really offer much in the way of protection.

Thanks in advance

A mate at work has the Exo2 kit, gloves and body warmer, the body warmer is wireless, the gloves are wired.

The gloves worked well until one day they over heated shorting out the plug connectors. The manufacturer replaced all the wiring under warranty and all is well again, but it's something to bear in mind.

cheers LeeR,
annoying for your mate but i guess it shows that the manufacturer actually replaced then - which is better than some companies i have dealt with in the past!

trying to persuade my dad to lend/permanantly borrow his gloves for the time being - or just keep flapping my arms around to force blood down into fingertips whilst at traffic lights and look like a loon.

I've been looking at the Keis stuff myself as it seems more affordable.

I treated myself to a keis heated waistcoat in October as did sheds loads of overtime. In general been very impressed with it. Obviously it doesn't keep my fingertips from getting cold in these extreme conditions (hence this tread!) but it definately helps them stay warmer for longer - comparing to last winter when didn't have heated waistcoat.

The only other thing is that the battery that you can get so you don't have to plug yourself into your battery with wires doesn't last anyway near as long as they advertise!

Borrowed my dad's Klan gloves so just wired them up to my bike so will give them a proper test and let people know what i think - for those interested anyway.

Still keen to hear from anyone who has used the other makes of heated gloves though
