Is it just me or is the picture taken at a weird angle?

Or are they just nuts?!

look at the helicopter blades, they are likely to be nearly parallel to the ground, so where the pic makes it look as if the truck has just gone down a near vertical bit, thats actually a fairly flat bit

Helicopters tilt forward when moving forward.
The helicopter is moving forward to follow the vehicle.
I feel your statement is flawed

They dont lean that far forward.

Tilt your head so your right ear is a bit nearer your shoulder, so the helicopter blades are nearer the horizontal, and you will get the true orientation of the picture.

It's not vertical but it is very close, look at the tire marks an the landscape. And the dust rising.

tilt your head to the right, and the pic makes a lot more sense.

You cant really tell the orientation of the pic from the dust and tyre tracks.

Note the other tyre tracks – there’s a bike ones that carries on a bit further after the ridge which the car leaves. Does seem unlikely that you’d try and go up that on sand on a bike if it’s as steep as the taken-picture-angle suggests!

I love the Dakar, missed it this year though Sad

Have watched many a programme and the steepness of the hill ( note the one on the other side too) is quite possible. Some of the tracks they take are beyond belief, but they still take them.
as for the helicopter, that could have been doing anything to be shot like that, if you watch enough of the Dakar you will see them at an even more accute angle.

Quote Picture 28's caption: "China's Wenmin Su rides his Jincheng past cheering onlookers during the 4th stage of the Dakar 2010 between Fiambala, Argentina, and Copiapo, Chile on January 5, 2010."

Poor bastard.

I saw a clip the other day of a car coming up a rise to a steep drop and then going straight over it -I bet the occupants were cr*pping themselves.
A biker was stood looking over the edge presumably deciding whether or not to go for it.

Credit to the Chinese for entering one of their own bikes in the rally.

I like the racing trucks. They don't take any prisoners:

That would mean the road that links to the 'flat' bit is weird...

I think it is crazy
