Anyone on here go to Trent and ride?

If we can get enough people it could become a proper society, things are subsidised etc

If so, i'm starting up a little 'club', few organised ride outs, trips to the NEC show etc

https://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=280632915249&ref=nf

If such thing already exists, i'll join that!

edit - this has nothing to do with the previous nottingham thing on here!

I`m not at trent personally, i`m thought they had a society going though? who knows, it may have closed due to lack of interest, used to live next door to varsity a few years back and never saw any bikes about the uni.

There`s a fair collection of local riders on www.nottinghambikers.co.uk always lots of rideouts and a pretty cool bunch, other than that, if you head up to J27 when the weather warms up there`s always people milling about. You`ll soon meet a few of us Thumbs Up

they did indeed at one time have a club, the website still exists but the contact email doesnt exist any longer!

what kind of riders are the guys at nottinghambikers?

once the weathers better i'll make more of an effort to meet people, rather than just going out by myself!

Are you at the City or Clifton?

The only bikes I see by the City campus belong to Staff. You could pop into the usual biker hangouts in town and meet some non student bikers Very Happy

Salutation for a start (Pete the Landlord's a biker).
You'll generally find members of the Dregs MCC in there as well. They have the odd party in the pub (next one's 27 March and trust me, they are ODD parties)

You'll also get a fair few bikers at The Old Angel, the Trip, The Tap and the Speakeasy, but it's not a regular thing.

Head out to MFN once it reopens in March as well.

You'll get bikes out at the Greyhound in Beeston on a Saturday/Sunday too.

Hi

Used to be loads of bike riders there when it was Trent Poly. Used to be a bike parking spot used by the students under a building on Goldsmith Street near the SU.

All the best

Keith

Hi

Oh, the guy who organised (might still, not sure) MAG in Notts was a guy called Andy. A Civil Engineer who was part of the poly bike club and hung around with them even when he left. He might be someone easy to find.

All the best

Keith

If it's the Andy I'm thinking of (Andy Bailey), he left MAG years ago and IIRC moved to Stoke.
